When given the task of creating my own black dating site I asked several black friends what issues they had with dating. Fairly quickly the topic turned to interracial dating. The black men seemed to think the black women went for Hispanic men, where as the black women seemed to think the black men went for the Asian women. The most interesting part of this was that most of the black men and women I spoke to were dating black people!

The issue of race is something that isn’t going to go away. Do black men prefer dating Asian women? Do black women prefer dating Hispanic men? These are questions we shouldn’t be afraid to discuss. My random sampling of black men and women in Baltimore may not be typical of the US. That’s what this site is about, discussing the unique dating concerns of black people everywhere.

I’ve recently noticed a trend of more and more black people turning to online dating sites for help meeting other single people. Unlike massive dating sites for everyone like Match.com , this dating site is completely free. Here you can ask questions, discuss, and respond to the unique dating concerns of black people. Match.com doesn’t have a section dedicated to black dating, and it certainly would never openly discuss interracial dating.
